Who is Phi Beta Psi?

Phi Beta Psi is a national, non-collegiate sorority founded in Columbus, Ohio, by six visionary young women. Established by the pioneering Alpha chapter, which originally held meetings at their school and shared updates via a dedicated school newspaper column, the organization was officially incorporated in the State of Ohio on February 15, 1904. Today, we carry forward the same spirit of unity and purpose that started it all.

Our purpose

The goal of Phi Beta Psi is to grow together in friendship and charity - spreading the word about our mission. With 63 chapters across the country and over 1,100 active members, we continue to grow and build a network of like-minded women.  Phi Beta Psi Sorority believes in diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, which stands together at the forefront as warriors for cancer research with courageous leadership, intentional growth, and continued service. Over the years, Phi Beta Psi has raised $12,000,000+ to our national project, cancer research, and we aren’t stopping there!

Whether you’re looking for a place to fit in and give back to your community or you have a personal reason for wanting to join the fight against cancer, Phi Beta Psi offers you a place to find your purpose. Join us in Phi Beta Psi, love, friendship, and truth.

Sorority Leadership

As with all organizations of this size, it takes a village to keep things running smoothly. Luckily, our members are always up for a challenge as Phi Beta Psi is a 100% volunteer-run organization, driven entirely by the passion and dedication of our sisters. We are incredibly fortunate to have a leadership team of remarkable women who selflessly give their time, energy, and expertise to ensure our sisterhood thrives and continues to make a lasting impact.
